Brief
Boutique M+S is an independent retail business specializing in ready-to-wear, rooted in proximity and personalized advice.
The company is experiencing real growth, driven by a loyal customer base and a strong identity. However, this growth has been built on an operational architecture developed through successive adjustments, without a global structural overhaul. The mandate was to clarify the foundations, reduce operational friction, and secure the company's future evolution capacity, without disrupting the model that makes it strong.
Goals
Consolidate before accelerating: the guiding principle of the entire process
The project aimed for four complementary objectives: setting up a centralized transactional infrastructure, transforming existing data into actionable indicators, reducing reliance on informal knowledge, and introducing digital solutions gradually and in a controlled manner. The ambition was not immediate growth, but rather operational mastery.

Complexity and challenge
An efficient organization, but one whose structure relies more on people than on systems
Processes were working, but each stage of the operational cycle involved intermediate manipulations: manual entries, disconnected tools, non-centralized inventory, and informal customer data. Strategic knowledge was held by individuals rather than by the organization, making the company susceptible to variations in availability and limiting its ability to delegate and make informed decisions.

Approach
A structured approach using workshops, process mapping, and analysis of existing tools
Rather than imposing an accelerated transformation, Maze chose to document the store's entire operational cycle, from purchase preparation to accounting follow-up, in order to precisely identify where information breakdowns occurred. This analysis allowed for the construction of a sequenced plan, where each project reinforces the next rather than overlapping with it.

Solution
An annual strategic plan organized around three sequential projects: POS, web, and marketing
Maze delivered a comprehensive roadmap including the implementation of a centralized POS with real-time inventory management, a progressive three-phase web adoption curve, and a marketing plan structured by maturity level. The entire approach is based on a clear logic: stabilize the transactional infrastructure before activating growth levers, so that each investment rests on solid foundations.
Results
Boutique M+S leaves with a clear plan, a logical sequence, and the tools to move forward without getting sidetracked
The value of this project isn't just measured in the new features deployed. It's measured in the newfound clarity: knowing what to do, in what order, and why. The boutique now has the foundations to grow without amplifying a fragile structure, and for its strong identity to continue to rest on something solid.
